So, you've probably heard about the record-breaking snowstorm rolling through our neck of the woods this weekend. It's pretty awesome. Last night we decided to see if we could get our car out of the parking lot to drive around town and see what was still open. Gas stations, fast food restaurants, and pretty much everything else were closed. Everything that is... but Walmart and Ihop.
It has now been snowing for more than 24 hours straight. I don't think we could get our car out without A LOT of work -- but that's fine. Our Saturdays are usually pretty lazy anyway. Here are some pictures of our street. When I feel less lazy in a few hours we'll probably go outside to play in the snow and measure how much there really is.
In the next picture, you can see the white truck across the street, but can you see the sedan parked in front of it?
This is like our one and only tradition (except our tradition to never eat at T.G.I.Fridays). On Saturday mornings we get up and make a big, tasty breakfast for each other. Cinnamon rolls, eggs, bacon, oj, fruit. It's the best time of the whole week. No snow storm can stop us from ingesting 2,000 calories in a single sitting!!!
Update: It finally stopped snowing this afternoon, so we decided to brave the cold, white world to see what had become of it.

We just heard that church has been canceled for the second week in a row! I'm feeling pretty inactive...

Those pictures are awesome! It looks like 26 inches, right? The walking mall looks so cool. Have fun, I'm thinking lots of people are thinking you guys must be living right....church canceled on Super Bowl Sunday.....does it get any better?! That belly shot makes me so happy!
oops...one more thing...the house with the cute lamp post, don't you thing the snow on top of the lanterns looks like Marge Simpson hairdos? Blue food coloring comes to mind....
Wow! I'm jealous, in a way. All we get is rain. But, just so you know how crazy Rob is, he's planted peas and beets and broccoli already. Be sure you don't do any Belly Flops! Love you guys.
It looks beautiful! You have lots more snow than we do. We are down to the last few spots under the trees and in the places the sun never shines.
That's so cool! Don't tell me how cold it is and we'll move before next winter:) Do you have any snowshoes?
Oh the east coast blizzards... how i miss them so. So you better hope that this snow does not linger into March! We have an unusual tale of one SIL who had to be driven outta the neighborhood on a snow plow, so she could get to the ambulance waiting on the main street. Baby was born a few hours later just fine! I should not scare tou tho. =)
